The Movie Hub project saw a vacant shopping centre unit transformed into a working film studio where young people were given the opportunity to work alongside film professionals on the pre-production of a movie which will be released in UK cinemas in 2018.

The campaign, the first of its kind in a UK shopping centre, was supported by members of staff at Weston Favell, volunteering their time and knowledge to help in the delivery of the project.

The Purple Apple Awards are run by the British Council of Shopping Centres
(BCSC) to recognise and reward effective shopping and town centre marketing.
