Armed robbery at Raunds Spar shop

Police have appealed for witnesses following the incident at the Spar shop in High Street, Raunds.

Officers said the armed robbery happened at about 9pm on Saturday, 29 October but they have only just released brief details of the incident.

Two offenders with their faces covered entered the shop. One had a hatchet and was wearing a light jacket. The other carried a knife and was wearing dark clothing.

The one with the hatchet jumped over the counter and used it to force the tills open. They then left the store with a quantity of cash.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to the robbery. Anyone with information should call 101.
