American sweet shop closes down in Northampton town centre

The shop opened on the ground floor of the Grosvenor Centre, next to Muffin Break, in April this year selling a wide variety of sweet treats.

American Candy World sold popular American favourites including Pop Tarts and fluffy mallow.

There was also a selection of drinks and retro favourites including popping candy and Nerds.

Many Chron readers said at the time that prices were very high.

The store has now been emptied in the shopping centre, with no sign or explanation.
