The lorry was parked in a layby between junction 1 Welford and junction 2 A508 Market Harborough and, some time between 10pm on Wednesday 17 August and 6.30am on Thursday, 18 August, the offenders broke into and emptied the fuel tank. They also slashed the side curtains, but nothing was taken from inside the lorry.

Officers are warning drivers to be vigilant when parking along the A14 and other main roads and truck stops.
