Air ambulance lands in Northampton town centre to fly injured man to hospital

The air ambulance has landed in Northampton this afternoon following an incident near Barrack Road.

Police were called to Alliston Gardens at around 2.35pm this afternoon (Wednesday) to reports of a man with a leg injury.

The Northamptonshire and Warwickshire Air Ambulance landed in Barrack Road at the old Royal Mail site just before 3.30pm.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said: “A man has a nasty leg injury. We don’t know at the moment how he got it.

“The air ambulance has landed to take the man to Northampton General Hospital.”

Roads in the area have been closed to allow the air ambulance to land and take off.
