Afghanistan campaign medal and dagger stolen from Northampton house

Burglars stole a commando dagger and a military Afghanistan campaign medal after breaking into a home in Northampton.

The house - in Hood Street, The Mounts - and was burgled on Wednesday, August 24 between 8am and 7pm.

The burglars forced entry through patio doors at the back of the property and conducted a search inside. As well as the medal and dagger, they took a brass optic telescope, a silver Navitimer wristwatch and a silver Aviator wristwatch.

Northamptonshire Police said they would like to speak to anyone who may have been offered any of the stolen items for sale.
