More than 5,000 people took part in the first ever ‘glow in the dark’ run in Northampton.
The Blacklight run started at 6pm on Saturday from the Saints car park in Edgar Mobbs Way and participants were able to complete a five kilometre course in which they travelled through ‘glow stations’ where UVpowder was thrown at them.
After completing the event, runners were able to attend an after party.
The charity partner for the event was Northampton-based Alfie’s Cause.
A Blacklight run spokesman said he was very pleased with the turnout for the run and said Northampton had “fully embraced” the new event.
