The internet movie database, IMDb, has a wealth of information about movies and television shows...including where they are shot. The following shows and films all included locations in and around Northampton...some you will recognise, others you may not! The list is in order of popularity according to IMDb.

Keeping Up Appearances - Northampton was used often for the hit BBC series that aired in the first half of the 1990s. Although the houses featured were outside of the county, Christchurch Church was used as the exterior shots for the church attended by Hyacinth and Richard Bucket in the series.

Kinky Boots - No list would be complete without including the hit film of 2005 that has Northampton at its heart. It featured a host of locations across the town including, of course, the historic Tricker's shoe factory in St Michael's Road.

A Cock and Bull Story - This 2005 film was a British comedy featuring Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon and tells the tale of a failed film. It was filmed at Lamport Hall, pictured, as well as Deene Park and Kirby Hall in Northamptonshire. As an aside, the phrase "cock and bull story" comes from nearby Stony Stratford which has two pubs on the same street, The Cock, and The Bull. Wild stories used to travel from one to the other, hence the phrase.

The Show - Alan Moore has legendary status in Northampton and the famed writer often uses the town as his inspiration and its locations as sets for his films, such as this 2014 fantasy film which featured three linked shorts. Delapre Abbey was used as a location.
