Health watchdog sets up stall at one stop shop in Northampton

Members of the public can now access information and signposting on any aspect of health and social care at the Guildhall's One Stop Shop.

Healthwatch Northamptonshire will be setting up stall at the One Stop Shop in the Guildhall between 10am and 1pm on the last Tuesday of every month.

Customers will be able to seek support on the services available to them and can share their experiences of using health and social care services. There will also be opportunities for people to get involved with the organisation as a volunteer.

Part of a network of 148 Healthwatch branches throughout the country, Healthwatch Northamptonshire are the consumer champion for local health and social care services.

Kate Holt, manager of Healthwatch Northamptonshire, said: “We are delivering a series of pop-up shops in each district of Northamptonshire with the aim of making our service more accessible to people in their local communities.”

Councillor Anna King, Northampton Borough Council cabinet member for community engagement, said: “We are looking forward to welcoming Healthwatch Northamptonshire to the One Stop Shop and are pleased that members of the public will be able to access even more services under one roof thanks to our partnership working with local organisations.”
