The unit has an integrated one-way system, which will allow people with an appointment to attend for either walk-in or drive-through testing.

Councillor Richard Auger, leader of Daventry District Council said: “We’re really pleased to welcome this COVID-19 Mobile Testing Unit to Daventry this weekend, offering more local people with coronavirus symptoms the chance to access testing closer to where they live.

“Tests are available by appointment only to anyone over the age of five who is symptomatic – so that means a new, continuous cough, a high temperature or a loss or change in their sense of taste or smell.

“Once you have booked you will be given the location of the testing site and details of how to get there.”
