A new family-run cocktail bar and restaurant opened in Northampton over the weekend.
The Meanwhile Bar and Restaurant, situated on Wellingborough Road, has undergone a major renovation and has re-opened to the public with an all-new look, name and menu.
The Oblique Kitchen & Bar, owned by husband-and-wife team Marcel Tut and Loredana Tut, hosted their grand opening on Saturday, June 18 with the mayor and mayoress of Northampton in attendance.
Co-owner, Loredana Tut, said: “We are a family-owned business, who believe in local connections between businesses and wanted to bring a fresh approach on how breakfast and food is served.
“That’s why we’ve taken over and refurbished the place, applied a personal touch to deliver good and healthy food, smashing cocktails and the feeling of a nice cosy atmosphere.”
The newly refurbished venue will serve brunch - with a variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes - and serve exquisite cocktails in addition to a refined dinner menu at the weekends, which owners say will be “perfectly suited to a romantic evening out.”
