'Hopes to enhance the parish as a whole': New homes officially opened near Northampton
Councillors cut the ribbon on latest phase of Buckton Fields housing development
The ribbon has been cut by councillors to officially open a new phase of a housing development on the outskirts of Northampton.
Judith Shephard from Northamptonshire County Council and John Shephard from Daventry District Council did the honours for Buckton Fields development last weekend.
Cllr Shephard said: “It is a pleasure to open this Bloor Homes development, which brings a range of quality homes to Northampton.
“This has come at a great time for Bloor Homes to deliver a lovely development which hopes to enhance not only the council but the parish as a whole.”
Phase one of Buckton Fields includes a range of detached and semi-detached two, three and four-bedroom homes, priced between £235,000 to £435,000.
Once complete, the 1,000-home development between Brampton Lane and Welford Road will have a primary school, a commercial area, open parkland and play spaces.
Jack Costello, sales director at Bloor Homes South Midlands, said: “We were delighted to welcome everyone to the launch of our show homes at Buckton Fields.
“It is extremely important for us at Bloor Homes to make a positive addition to the communities in which we are building, so we are really looking forward to welcoming visitors through our show home doors.
"We are expecting the demand for homes at Buckton Fields to be extremely high as we have already sold through 50 per cent of our initial first releases.”
Prospective house hunters will now be able to explore the two four-bedroom showhomes at Buckton Fields: The Harwood and The Wyatt.
