British Military Fitness is launching free finesses classes for those not so keen on exercise.

The Saturday sessions for beginners are aimed at the ‘exercise shy’, with research revealing one in five people in the UK don’t feel fit enough to exercise with other people and therefore makes it a daunting concept.

To combat this British Military Fitness (BMF) is promising exercise novices in Northampton free introductory group fitness sessions this summer.

The Beginners Saturdays will take place in Abington Park with a session this Saturday (July 2).

Harry Sowerby, Managing Director at BMF, said: “BMF is all about people coming together and having fun, whilst getting fit and improving their lifestyles at the same time - you don’t need to be super-fit to join our ranks!

“Each session is varied to keep both the body and mind motivated and the workouts are designed to improve your stamina, speed, agility and strength in a fun and interesting way.

“We understanding if you are new or returning to exercise, it can be scary and we really want to motivate those who perhaps wouldn’t usually consider a group exercise class to come down to the parks and see what we are all about. All they need to do is put on their trainers and come down to the park and we will do the rest!”
