University stars on Northampton stage
There will be a chance to see some futures star of the screen and stage.
Final year students from the University of Northampton present three plays, Pornography, Posh and Vinegar Tom.
Written by Simon Stephens in reaction to London crashing from the euphoria and promise at being awarded the 2012 Olympics into the chaos and reality of the 7/7 bombings, the play is composed of seven stories that serve as a countdown to the catastrophic attack on London.
Posh by Laura Wade is the play concerning an Oxford student dining club called The Riot Club, a fictionalised version of the Bullingdon Club. A film version of the play was released in 2014 entitled The Riot Club and starred Sam Claflin who appeared in The Hunger Games.
Caryl Churchill’s Vinegar Tom examines gender and power relationships through the lens of 17th century witchcraft trials in England.
All these productions contain strong language and scenes of an adult nature.
It is recommended for people aged 16 and over.
Performances of each play take place across a number of different days and times.
