Police are investigating after a gang of six youngsters carrying knives and metal bars chased two boys aged 16 and 17 into a house in Northampton.
Detectives say the incident on Thursday (May 14) is not connected to an assault in the same area of Thorplands four days later when a 39-year-old man was seriously injured in a vicious attack by three kids, all believed to be aged 16 or 17, just a few hundred yards away.

Hide AdA spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said: "Two boys, aged 16 and 17, were chased into a house in Farmfield Court by a group of six boys who were carrying knives and metal bars between 4.30pm and 5.30pm on Thursday, May 14..
"The group of boys proceeded to smash some of the back windows of the house before making off.
"Four of the offenders were wearing dark/black hooded tops, masks, black jogging bottoms and dark trainers. One of the offenders was wearing a light brown/beige hooded jacket, black jogging bottoms and dark trainers and the final offender was wearing a grey hooded jacket, grey camouflage trousers and a mask.

Hide AdPolice are also appealing for information following the second incident in nearby Great Holme Court on Sunday (May 17).
Three thugs battered a 39-year-old man who was walking through the area at around 3pm. The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The police spokesman added: "The suspects in the second incident are described as three white boys, aged 16-17, wearing dark-coloured tracksuits and white baseball caps."
