Team building goes wrong in Northampton

Neville’s Island can be seen from The Playhouse Theatre from Tuesday to Saturday March 14 to 18.A play written by Calendar Girls writer Tim Firth will be staged in Northampton next week.Neville’s Island sees The Pennine Mineral Water Company send their managers on an outward bound team building weekend in the lake district.A series of mishaps and misunderstandings lead Team C into an adventure of discovery... but what they discover is not quite what they were expecting. Neville’s Island was the first full-length play, commissioned by Sir Alan Ayckbourn, following the success of his one-act play A Man of Letters. Tim later went on to write a hugely successful play of his TV movie The Flint Street Nativity. This was followed by his greatest success to date, Calendar Girls, which was both a huge success as a movie and his play version, which went on to break the all time box office records for a play. This cast features Hugh Jones as Neville, Jem Clack as Gordon, Graham Lee as Roy and Victor Guse as Angus. It has been directed by Magge Holland who is returning to The Playhouse having previously helmed a production of The Killing of Sister George. Tickets cost £9, and £8 for concessions.
