Prepare for speed, precision and mesmerising martial power
Prepare for speed, precision and mesmerising martial power

Leading taiko group the Mugenkyo Taiko Drummers are returning to The Castle for a night of high octane energy and entertainment.

At next week’s show, they will be sharing the stage with long-time friends from Japan, Wadaiko Tokara, who demonstrate their reputation for speed, precision and mesmerising martial power.

The show will feature thundering rhythms on huge taiko drums, masked choreography, synchronisation to perfection, post-apocalyptic martial imagery and infectious humour.

Mugenkyo founders Neil Mackie and Miyuki Williams and Wadaiko Tokara founder and award-winning Art Lee first met and performed together 20 years ago at the first European Taiko Festival in Dusseldorf. They have since revisited their friendship, performing together in Japan for the Saiwai Shimoina Taiko Festival

They play the Wellingborough venue on Tuesday, May 24.

Doors open at 7.30pm, tickets cost £21 or £16 for under 16s.
