Indie quartet The Bohicas headline the Roadmender tomorrow night.
Described as rock and roll painted in vivid primary colours, The bohicas combine a barrage of killer hooks, razor blade riffs and choruses designed to slap you in the face, grab your hand and lead you onto the dance floor.
The band released their debut album The Making Of earlier this year.
Talking about his influences, singer Dominic McGuinness says: “The stuff that inspires me has to be immediate. I haven’t got the patience or the brains to absorb and digest a great book or a clever film.
“That’s what we try to do with The Bohicas. It’s immediate. A series of sucker punches.” Joining McGuinness in the band are drummer Brendan Heaney, guitarist Dominic John, and bassist Adrian Acolatse.
Doors at the Northampton venue open at 7.30pm, tickets cost £9 in advance before fees. Visit www.theroadmender.com
