Northampton Music Festival begins on Friday

The Northampton Music Festival begins on Friday with performances over three days at venues and on stages across the town.

The event is now in its ninth year and champions the county’s music scene. There will be music for every taste, with all genres represented.

While there are performances on the Friday night and on the Saturday, the main festival programme is on the Sunday and will follow the departure of the Women’s Tour.

One of the festival organisers, Yoshe Watson, said: “I’m really looking forward to everything coming together to fill the town with music this weekend.

“We have such an incredible music scene and I’m blown away by the wealth of talent we have involved with year’s.”

The festival is run by Northampton Music 365, a not for profitcommunity interest group in partnership with the Northampton Town Centre BID, Northampton Borough Council, Northampton Community Foundation and Northamptonshire County Council Arts Fund.
