Northampton acts make London debuts

Ginger Snaps is the project of Jay Brook and Lee Irons, both members of OhBoy! Brook was joined by two backing singers from the University of Northampton at the Good Karma Club at The Islington on Thursday night.Ginger Snaps previewed a series of new songs alongside the likes of Paranoid and Phat Kids.The following night, BornStranger made their debut supporting April Towers at Club NME at the KOKO in Camden.Born Stranger comprise of David Maddox-Jones and Raife Hacking. They were joined by Sam Harvey on guitar and Mitchell Harris on trumpet. As well as singles Be Someone and Fire and the Flame, the electronic pop pair played a set comprising of songs expected to feature on their debut album.Both acts are among the latest from Northampton to impress in the capital with Tim Muddiman and the Strange supporting Gary Numan and Billy Lockett due to play a sold out gig later this month.
