Britain’s most popular Buddy Holly tribute show will bring a night of rock ’n’ roll to Northampton next week.
Buddy Holly & The Cricketers have been playing around the world for more than two decades.
The show will feature some of the country’s finest actor-musicians, whose combined West End credits include Buddy, Lennon, Forbidden Planet and Jailhouse Rock.
The band have been endorsed as Britain’s most popular Buddy Holly act after appearing on BBC One’s Saturday night live programme, The One and Only, hosted by Graham Norton.
Expect hits including That’ll Be The Day, Peggy Sue, Heartbeat, It Doesn’t Matter Anymore, Raining In My Heart, Oh Boy! and many more.
Buddy Holly & The Cricketers head to the Royal & Derngate on Wednesday, October 7.
Doors open at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £23 before fees.
Next Friday, former Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett headlines the venue.
Celebrating his 40th anniversary as a solo artist, Hackett will be re-living his musical evolution with his new show Acolyte To Wolflight With Genesis Revisited: The Total Experience.
The show promises to take the audience on an imaginary journey through time and space on the eternal quest for freedom, with tracks from his new studio album Wolflight, as well as material from solo albums Voyage Of The Acolyte and Spectral Mornings with classic songs from his days in Genesis.
The first member of Genesis to release a solo album, Hackett has seen his musical career blossom over the past four decades, establishing him as a pioneering icon of progressive rock. He will playing a number of tracks for the first time since the 1970s.
