A footballer who has had a career lasting more then two decades will be looking back on his achievements at an event in Wellingborough next week.

John Lukic, who played for Arsenal and Leeds United in two separate spells each, will be in the town on Thursday August 20.

He can be seen at the Cutting Room and there will be a memorabilia auction.

John made a total of 668 league appearances and played at the highest level of English football in four separate decades.

He was also the winner of two league titles, once with Arsenal and another with Leeds United. In 2000, he became briefly the oldest player to ever play in the Champions League when he went between the sticks for Arsenal.

The event has been organised by Look Who’s Talking Events who have organised a series of events with comedians and sporting stars.

Doors for the event open at 7pm. Tickets for the show cost £20 and includes a photo. To buy, contact James on 07921 568506 or email james.wager@hotmail.co.uk.
