Criminal capers and Christmas combined

He Wore a Red Hat
He Wore a Red Hat

A funny and festive twist on the crime genre comes to Gretton Village Hall on Friday, November 13.

He Wore A Red Hat, by Jack McNamara, sees a part-time detective, part-time unpublished poet, Josh Rogan on a mission to save Christmas.

Volunteer detectives are being recruited to help solve crimes in local villages. So when hopeful poet Josh Rogan’s applications are repeatedly turned down, he decides to take sleuthing into his own hands.

Believing he’s one step ahead, he begins to piece together what he thinks is a series of Christmas-themed crimes, enlisting an intern as his put-upon side-kick. But just when thinks he’s on to something, a series of unexpected gifts start to arrive. It would seem he’s in for a rather big surprise...

Join amateur crime-fighter Josh for a spot of sleuthing, as he attempts to restore faith in our festive season. And possibly share a few impromptu poems along the way.

The show, at Gretton Village Hall, starts at 7.30pm next Friday. To book tickets call 01536 770302
