Gardeners in Northampton and Daventry can now water their plants as usual, according to Anglian Water.
Yesterday the water company asked residents to suspend watering their vegetation to speed along the tap water crisis.

But this morning a spokeswoman said they now had enough water in the supply system to flush out the pipes.

She said people could now return to their normal practise.

The news will come as a relief to garderners as today is due to be the hottest day of the year.

When they said to boil the water for your pet dog and cat. that did it for me Dogs drink out of dirty muddy puddles. My theory is that was a glut of bottled water, and they needed to get rid of it from the supermarket shelves, so they put out this scare.
