Skipper Bruce Reihana has warned his side to stay focused as Northampton Saints moved to within touching distance of an instant return to the Premiership.
Saints romped to a 72-7 win in their re-arranged clash with Cornish All Blacks at Franklin's Gardens on Tuesday night to move 19 points clear at the top of National League One and two wins away from the title.

Reihana led from the front with his second hat-trick in three days after bagging three against Rotherham on Saturday.

The former All Black was once again the inspiration for Saints as they ran in 12 tries against the All Blacks, who agreed to switch the clash from Polson Bridge to the Gardens because their floodlights are so poor after the original trip to Cornwall was postponed.

Reihana said: "We're nearly over the line. It has been a tough three or four days with two games played, but also a very rewarding one because a lot of guys have stepped up and earned their spots and kept everybody honest. That is what this team and squad are about.

"I've been very lucky, our forwards have been giving us good go-forward ball and the fly-halves have been giving it to us on a plate, so it is nice to be on the end of the chain and getting some tries."

It is all pointing to promotion being clinched with victory against Exeter on March 22 at the Gardens.

Reihana added: "There is a big four weeks ahead of us. That is even more of a challenge for us to make sure we recover well, train and don't take things for granted. We've got Pertemps Bees away, that won't be easy, then Plymouth in the cup and Exeter and Nottingham at home.

"We've got to make sure we keep our feet firmly on the ground, work hard and recover well."
