Crowds of fans lined the streets of Kettering on Sunday to see the Poppies champions show off their new silverware during an open-top bus ride through the town.
The newly crowned Blue Square North champions from Kettering Town Football Club held aloft their new trophy and waved to their thousands of cheering fans.

During the massive celebrations the team also took time out to sign autographs for fans and later gave supporters the chance to play alongside them at the arena.

Player manager, Mark Cooper, said: "It's been a great season.

"To win 30 games and to have scored as many goals as we have - it's been fantastic.

"They players have been brilliant and today has been great as well."

Among those who turned out to meet the players was Carrie Goode, 31, of Bluebell Close, Kettering and her sons, Kelsey, 3, and six-year-old Bradley.

She said: "I've been a fan for 11 years and I'm really excited.

"It's great they've gone up and I hope they go up again - especially for my boys because they are big fans."

Peter Warren, 61, of Clipston, has supported the club for 55 years.

He said: "I felt it was really important to come down today to show my support for the team and thank them for all they've done.

"I started going to the matches with my dad when I was about six and I think this has been the best season I've ever seen.

"I hope we're able to maintain our position next season and even move forward."
