An exhibition of photography highlighting human rights issues and abuses is running in The Fishmarket in Northampton this month.
The Goby Gallery is host to the display by Amnesty International until August 29 in the Bradshaw Street venue.

There are 16 moving pictures in total and there will be an opportunity while looking at the pictures to get more information about China and to take action.

During their campaign to secure the 2008 Olympics, the Chinese authorities declared that the human rights situation in China would improve if Beijing was chosen to host the games.

The exhibition explores how, without improvements to human rights in China, the Olympic host will be remembered as a country that executes, tortures and silences its citizens.

Amnesty International Northampton is urging the Chinese authorities to step up their human rights reforms.
