I complained by text about the ridiculous wait for a cup of tea at half-time in west stand on Saturday.
I was 16th in my queue, and it took them 18 minutes to serve me.

Four workers with no sense of urgency in the kiosk is unacceptable. To be fair, Sam Thomas has promised to investigate, I was told that when they tried pre-pouring drinks to save time it led to wastage, but a solution must be possible.

Backbone of the smaller clubs
Faithful supporters and helpers Evelyn and Alec Smith were part of the Cobblers' public image for years, helping in many ways.

Evelyn died relatively recently and then on Saturday we had a minute's silence for Alec who has also passed away.

Such people used to be the backbone of small clubs, now they are few and far between.

Swap your tickets to sing at Leicester
Top marks to supporter Glen Cousner and Cobblers matchday guru Paula Kane for sorting out a good solution for the disparate mix of our supporters, some of whom want to sing and holler, while others like me just want to sit and grumble without our view being blocked.

For the all-ticket game at Leicester on October 25, we've been allocated 3,000 seats, and the central section is being given to those who want to be noisy, while the rest of us can sashay at the edges.

People who have away tickets automatically processed have the option of swapping them if they don't like what they get. Top banana!

Shop in a Cobblers top
Here's an idea for those of you wanting a voucher for free tickets to Sixfields – wear a Cobblers shirt and wander through Northampton's Grosvenor Centre to see if you're lucky enough to be picked out by the club's spotters.

There's only one downside – I can't tell you the exact times it's being done, and the thought of wandering hopefully though that depressing place is probably worse than just going to the box office and shelling out for a ticket!

Seaside trip
Sixfields Travel are down to their last few places for next year's Blackpool trip from March 27-29 which also takes in our game at Carlisle.

It's £134 all-in for hotel, food, transport and entertainment – only a few spaces left on Northampton 706401.

Putting the boot in
Another profitable car boot by NTFC Supports' Ltd saw a total of £1,634 taken, including more than £76 in a large bag of change donated by someone who was happy to see the money going to the multi-disabled team.

The final car-boot of this year is on Sunday, October 26.

Buy Mark Kennedy's book
Monday night's supporters quiz is a runaway sell-out, and Mark Kennedy will be there with the first copies of his new Cobblers book.

If you wish your thoughts to be reflected in the next fanzine, get them to hotelenders@yahoo.co.uk before the end of Sunday, new ideas welcome.
