Danny Jackman is cracking value at 20/1 (Boylesports) to score the first goal in the Cobblers' league match with Oldham at Sixfields.
With Giles Coke suspended, Jackman is likely to be the most attacking midfielder tomorrow. He will also take most of Town's free-kicks around the box.
Cobblers are 6/4 favourites (Skybet) to beat Oldham, who are 19/10 (bet365).
Tottenham on a roll
FOOTBALL: Holders Tottenham marched into the next round of the Carling Cup and are now a 7/2 chance with Stan James after defeating Liverpool 4-2.
Joint-favourites currently are Arsenal and Manchester United on 11/5, while Blackburn are 6/1 after they defeated Sunderland
2-1.
Shearer to call the Toon?
FOOTBALL: Sky Bet have cut Alan Shearer's odds of becoming Newcastle United's next permanent manager to 6/4 from 8/1 after significant support in the Newcastle area this week.
Sky Bet's senior football compiler, Mike Triffitt, said: "We've seen strong support for Shearer from the north east. Things can only get better for Newcastle so perhaps Shearer is thinking it's not a bad time to step up to the plate."
Interim manager Joe Kinnear, whose latest outburst was directed at referee Martin Atkinson following Newcastle's 2-1 defeat at Fulham, is out to 9/2 (from 3/1) to be appointed on a permanent basis. Kevin Keegan is a 6/1 chance, while Gus Poyet is next up at 8/1.
Newcastle have sunk back into the relegation zone and are 1/3 with Sky Bet for a bottom half finish and 4/1 to be playing Coca-Cola Championship football next season.
Wolves are too good for Saints
FOOTBALL: Southampton were dreadful last Saturday and it's only going to get tougher for the Championship strugglers tomorrow.
Table-toppers Wolves are superb value at 11/10 (Paddy Power) to beat them tomorrow. How Mick McCarthy's side are odds-against is beyond me.
Southampton have won just one in eight at home this season, while Wolves have scored an impressive 18 goals in their eight away games so far.
If you're going to have a flutter this weekend, make it this one.
In Coca-Cola League Two, there's another game that seems to have escaped the layers' attention in the form of Accrington Stanley and Bournemouth.
Stanley go into tomorrow's game off the back of last night's FA Cup tie at Tranmere and will be anything but fresh.
Secondly, Bournemouth are now just one win away from the milestone zero-point mark as they continue their attempt to overhaul a monster 17-point deficit and avoid the prospect of relegation from the league. Check out bet365's offer of 2/1 on a Bournemouth win.
