Paul Ince enjoyed a brilliant start as Blackburn Rovers manager last weekend and there should be more smiles when they take on Hull City tomorrow.
Rovers produced a spirited fightback to win 3-2 at Everton, a side who are expected to finish in the top eight this season.

Hull also enjoyed an opening-day win, but they will find trips on the road much tougher and they don't stand much of a chan
ce at Ewood Park.
Take Ladbrokes' generous offer of 4/6 on a Rovers home win.

Stoke, who came up with Hull from the Championship last season, are set for a tough afternoon at home to Aston Villa. Villa looked good against Manchester City last Sunday so I'm taking the 4/5 on them making it two out of two at the Britannia.

A Blackburn/Villa double should return around 2/1 with most firms.
In the Coca-Cola Championship, I'm expecting Birmingham to sweep aside Barnsley with ease.

The Blues have won their two games so far this season and show no signs of slipping up at home against a below-bar Barnsley side. Betfred make Birmingham 1/2 to win it.

FOOTBALL: Injury-hit Cobblers are 6/5 with Sky Bet to beat Millwall at Sixfields tomorrow.

It's an attractive price, but when you consider Town will be without the likes of Adebayo Akinfenwa, Giles Coke, Andy Holt and Danny Jackman, you're probably better siding with the draw at 9/4.

For me, the most attractive bet is Ladbrokes' offer of 8/1 on a 0-0 draw.

FOOTBALL: After their poor performance against the Czech Republic, England have been lengthened to 11/1 from 10/1 to win the World Cup by William Hill.

England had to come from behind twice to scrape a 2-2 draw at Wembley but looked disjointed throughout.

Hills have also lengthened them from 11/8 to 6/4 to win their forthcoming World Cup qualifier in Croatia.

Croatia are 6/4 to beat England again having twice come out on top in their two qualifiers for Euro 2008 while the draw is 21/10.

Fabio Capello's men are 1/4 to qualify for the final stages of the World Cup and 11/4 not to while John Terry is 6/4 to start as skipper for every World Cup qualifier and 1/2 not to.

RUGBY UNION: Saints' season is approaching fast and Coral make them hot favourites to beat Worcester in their Guinness Premiership opener a week on Sunday.

The firm make Saints 4/7 to win at Franklin's Gardens, while Worcester are 11/8. The draw is 18/1.

Saints are currently just 6/1 (Stan James) for instant relegation back to National League One.

OLYMPICS: The countdown to London 2012 is now firmly on and Boylesports are betting on which British sporting legend will light the Olympic flame – the country's greatest ever Olympian Sir Steve Redgrave is the hot 1/2 favourite.

Lord Coe is 4/1, David Beckham 6/1 while Dwain Chambers is the outsider of the bunch at 1000/1...

Bet of the week: A Blackburn/Aston Villa weekend double returns 2/1 with most firms
