Tim Flowers arrives at Sixfields

Tim Flowers has been installed as the Cobblers' goalkeeping coach until the end of the current campaign.

The former England international will train the club's keepers during the week on a part-time basis.

Flowers replaces Simon Brown, who left Sixfields last week to sign for Cambridge United as a player.

Manager Ian Sampson said: "I am delighted to be able to welcome Tim to the staff.

"Not only has he got experience of playing at the very highest level, he has also got a good record of coaching having worked with some excellent keepers.

"We have a number of young, promising keepers at the club at the moment and they can only benefit from working with someone like Tim."
