Swansea City right-back Danny Alfei has signed for the Cobblers on a season-long loan deal.
The 22-year-old will join up with the first-team squad for their third day of pre-season training at Moulton College on Wednesday.
Swansea-born Alfei has represented Wales at three international age-group levels and spent the second half of last term on loan at Sky Bet League Two side Portsmouth.
Prior to that, the defender spent time on loan at Wrexham and has a contract at the Liberty Stadium until 2016.
Alfei played the full 90 minutes of Pompey’s 1-0 win over Northampton at Sixfields in April in what was his final outing for the south coast club.
