Saints face derby date in LV= Cup

Saints will face an east midlands derby in the group stages of this season's LV= Cup with a trip to Leicester Tigers beckoning in January.

The Anglo-Welsh competition returns during this campaign, having taken a break during the previous one due to the Rugby World Cup.

And Saints will make the trip to Welford Road on the weekend of January 27.

That fixture comes after two in November, with Jim Mallinder’s men making the journey to Newcastle Falcons on Sunday, November 6 before hosting Gloucester six days later.

The group stage campaign concludes with a home game against Scarlets on the weekend of February 3.
