Jim Mallinder says the Cobblers’ success this season has been ‘absolutely incredible’.

And the Saints boss feels it is brilliant for the town that Chris Wilder’s men have been crowned Sky Bet League Two champions.

Cobblers lifted the trophy after their 2-0 win against Luton Town at Sixfields last Saturday.

And Mallinder has been watching on with admiration at the job Wilder has done at the town’s professional football club.

“It’s absolutely incredible for them,” Mallinder said.

“I know they had a few problems off the field early on, but they seem to have put that behind them and concentrated on their football.

“It’s really great for the town and I’m really delighted for them.”
