Russell and April get their hands on trophies
Staverton men's and ladies' club champions Russell Brown and April Owens were delighted to get their hands on their 2008 trophies as the golf club held its presentation evening.
Other regular visitors to the winners table included Michael Franklin, Phil Rosier, Karen Poolton and mixed pairing Judith Pearson and Bills Marks.
Although Janet Lambdon picked up one trophy, she also had the dubious distinction of receiving six runners- up prizes.
In the second round of the Vets Winter Series, David Williams edged out Bill Foster on countback after both players bagged 21 points over the nine holes.
Countback was also needed to determine who took third prize as Roger Chamberlain and Ray Rumble both shot 20. Chamberlain took it.
Luke Norman won the Colts KO Plate competition after beating Harry Schiltz by one hole in the last four before outplaying Oliver Garnham – who'd beaten Kibb Groves in his semi – in the final.
James Tack didn't have to hit a single shot to win the final of the Colts Cup as his opponent Josh Dennison sprained his wrist on the eve of the match and had to concede the trophy.
