Tom Wood has been named Saints’ player of the month for May.
Wood saw off competition from Lee Dickson and Jamie Elliott to claim the final prize of the season.
It is the first time the flanker had won a monthly award during the campaign, becoming the seventh different player to earn one.
Calum Clark was the leading monthly prize winner, scooping three awards during a season that earned him Saints’ players’ and supporters’ player of the year gongs.
During May, Wood contributed an impressive 37 carries and tackles combined, also adding 12 lineout takes and an Aviva Premiership play-off semi-final try against Saracens to the mix for good measure.
He is now enjoying a well-earned break ahead of the start of England’s Rugby World Cup preparations.
