Saints have been handed a sizeable boost for the Aviva Premiership final, with club captain Dylan Hartley fit enough to take his place on the bench at Twickenham on Saturday.
Hartley has not played since fracturing his shoulder blade in the league defeat to Leicester at the end of March.
But he returned to full training last week and will now provide cover for Mike Haywood, who starts at hooker.
Director of rugby Jim Mallinder has made two changes to the team that beat Bath in the Amlin Challenge Cup final last Friday, with Kahn Fotuali’i and Salesi Ma’afu back in the starting line-up.
Fotuali’i replaces Lee Dickson at scrum-half, while Ma’afu, who returns from a one-week suspension, replacing Tom Mercey. Dickson and Mercey are among the replacements.
Opponents Saracens will be without England loosehead prop Mako Vunipola, who injured his knee in last Saturday’s Heineken Cup final defeat against Toulon.
Richard Barrington takes Vunipola’s place in the first 15.
