Hartley on bench and Dickson at scrum-half for Saints
Dylan Hartley has been dropped to the bench as director of rugby Jim Mallinder sticks by the team that crushed Treviso 66-0 last weekend for their Guinness Premiership opener.
Lee Dickson starts at fly-half with Carlos Spencer outside him in the game against Worcester Warriors at Franklin's Gardens on Sunday.
Mallinder has handed six of the summer signings their Saints debuts.
Ignacio Fernandez Lobbe and Christian Day partner each other in the second row, Roger Wilson, Neil Best and Scott Gray start in the back row while England Saxon Dickson wears the No.9 shirt.
The game also sees the return of Scotland winger Sean Lamont following his lengthy injury absence.
Meanwhile, Worcester skipper Pat Sanderson has lost his race to be fit in time for the Premiership curtain-raiser.
The back-row forward suffered a dead-leg in the friendly against Ulster last week and has been unable to shake-off the injury.
