Saints have been boosted by the news England duo Dylan Hartley and Courtney Lawes will be available to play at Worcester on Saturday.

The international duo, who came off the bench in England’s 12-6 Six Nations win in Ireland on Sunday, have been given the green light to start at Sixways.

Their return could hardly be more timely, with Saints desperate to end a two-game losing streak and reignite their hopes of a top-four finish in the Aviva Premiership.

Jim Mallinder’s men were beaten 27-11 by play-off rivals Gloucester last weekend, slipping to sixth in the process.

Full-back Ben Foden, like skipper Hartley and second row star Lawes, was unavailable for that game, at the request of the RFU.

But Foden could also be allowed to play against the Warriors this weekend, giving Saints much-needed options at a crucial stage of the league campaign.
