FRESH APPROACH? - the Cobblers made three transfer offers for Kidderminster striker Jamille Matt a year ago

Kidderminster Harriers striker Jamille Matt has once again been linked with a transfer to the Cobblers.

According to a report in the Worcester News, the forward has been scouted by Northampton, who made three bids for the player in the January transfer window last season.

Matt, 22, spent nine months on the sidelines due to issues surrounding his work permit but has scored four goals since his return, including a hat-trick in last Saturday’s 3-2 win for Kidderminster over Newport County.

When Town made their bids for the player 12 months ago it was understood his club wanted a six-figure fee for his services, despite Matt having never played in the Football League and started just 35 games.
