VIDEO: Sixfields east stand redevelopment latest

After months of inactivity and on and off-site problems, things are finally moving at a pace.

The second floor of the stand has been concreted this week, and this follows on from the other work that has been undertaken.

That work is:

The ground floor has been concreted

Drainage work has been completed

Construction of the floor on the first and second floors is under way.

The second floor was concreted on Wednesday, and the first floor to be concreted next Wednesday (May 27).

Brickwork is progressing well around ground floor

It has now been confirmed that the ground floor of the stand will contain a concourse area with kiosks and a family area.

The family area will be both inside and outside of the stand, and will include fun activities for all of the family.

The new stand will also include executive boxes, the new Legends Lounge and supporters bar, as well as a large conference area that can be used for events and meetings on non-matchdays.

As already announced, the club expect general supporters seating in the east stand to be open for the start of the new campaign in August, with other facilities ready for the end of September.
