The team has enjoyed a fantastic and record-breaking season, clinching not only promotion, but also the Sky Bet League Two title

We have had 100s of entries so far for the award, with more than 10 different players receiving nominations.

We obviously can’t reveal who the runners and riders are to win it, but it is safe to say it is a close-run thing, with a clutch of players genuinely in the running.

So if you have a favourite player, and you haven’t voted yet, what are you waiting for?

To cast your vote for your winner couldn’t be easier.

The award this year will be presented at the club’s awards dinner.

In the past, it has traditionally been presented to the winning player on the Sixfields pitch prior to the final home game of the season.

But this time around, the winner will pick up their prize at the Cobblers’ end of season awards dinner, which is sponsored by Grosvenor Casinos.

The dinner is being staged at Northamptonshire County Cricket Club on Sunday, May 1.
