SATURDAY COMBINATION: Barrick and Maund send Harpole joint top

In Duston Garage Division One, leaders Wootton St George thrashed bottom side Kettering Orchard Park 11-2. Ellis Stockport scored a hat-trick, Scott Walden two, and there were singles from Darren Frost, Ryan Smith, Joe Titmuss Lewis Trasler and Alex Patrick and an own goal.

In division two, Bugbrooke A drew 1-1 at Higham, with George Payne netting for Bugbrooke, while in division three Bugbrooke B won 5-0 against Irthlingborough with goals from Daniel Camacho, Fraser Lodge (2) and Paul Mackay (2).

Corby Ravens earned a well needed point after a local derby against Corby Kingwood Reserves ended in a 3-3 stalemate.

Ravens goals came from Paul Kelly, David Miller and Alex Williams, with Kingswood replying through Ryan Hill (2) and Adam Ross.

Daventry Rangers hosted Earls Barton United Reserves and they drew 3-3.

FC Fotogold put up a good fight but proved to be no match for league leaders Kislingbury JLB FC who took the win 3-2.

Fotogold goals were scored by Marcin Poczachowski and Lukasz Ziobrowski.

Kettering Nomads Reserves managed to keep themselves in third place, hot on Bugbrooke’s heels, after a 3-0 win over Brixworth All Saints.

Weedon suffered their first loss of the season at the hands of Wollaston Victoria Reserves who took the points after a 3-1 win.

On target for Wollaston were Thomas Legg (2) and Harry Ware, with Alex Kibblewhite replying.

In Duston Garage Division Four, Corby Siam crashed 4-0 to Burton Band.

Finedon Volta Reserves played host to Heyford Athletic Reserves and it turned out to be a close game for the first 45 minutes, but Heyford took control and finished up winners by 4-2 with goals from Jack Lee (2), Liam Playford and Ali Whitehead.

Northampton Falcons are beginning to string a few results together and had a good win over one time league leaders Corby Wanderers by 5-2 to lift them up to ninth in the table.

Stanwick Rovers played host to third-placed Corby United and although they did not win they made Corby United work very hard for victory by the odd goal 2-1. Lester Nunley on target for Stanwick.

Wilby could not make any impression on second-placed Harpole Reserves, who have won seven and drawn one of their eight games to date, putting them two points behind the leaders with a game in hand.

Mid-table Yelvertoft had a very close game against Desborough & Rothwell United Reserves and the game was decided by the odd goal in favour of Yelvertoft by 4-3.

In Duston Garage Division Five, Corby Hellenic Fisher had home advantage but failed to make it count against a very determined Higham Town Reserves with the game finishing all square at 1-1.

Corby United Reserves had a very close game against near neighbours Corby Strip Mills Reserves and it finished up a very close game with the home side Corby United Reserves winning by 3-2

Irthlingborough Rangers who of late have had a good run of form lost their way a bit and succumbed to a home defeat at the hands of Corby Ravens Reserves by 6-1

The game between Moulton Reserves and Great Doddington finished all square at 3-3, while Spratton Reserves played host to second-placed Stanion United Reserves who won 3-1.

Wellingborough Rising Sun Reserves are in pole position in the table and won 7-2 against Daventry Rangers Reserves.

West Haddon Reserves played host to the team three points above them, Corby Trades & Labour, and lost 5-0. Trades & Labour’s scorers were Brandon Barby, Aaron Cox Connor, Gribben Paul, Newton and William Sayer.
