Little: My future is still at Wolves despite Sixfields switch
Mark Little insists his future remains at Wolves despite rejoining Northampton Town on loan.
The defender spent the second half of last season on loan at Sixfields from Molineux, and has come back to Sixfields following the departure of Gabor Gyepes to Cardiff.
But the right-back, who many Cobblers fans would love to see join the club permanently, has stressed that his only aim during his loan period is to improve to force his way into the Wolves starting 11, rather than earn a move to Sixfields on a permanent basis.
"This is my second home," said Little, who is clearly settled when in a claret and white shirt.
"Stuart Gray is a great manager, I understand exactly what he is going for and I love it here. I get on with all the boys so well, even the new boys and I really do get on with all the lads here so it is a home from home really.
"It has been very disappointing and very frustrating for me at Wolves but that is football, there's nothing I can do.
"I am only 20, I will get there in the end so I have just got to keep my head up and keep going.
"I've spoken to Mick McCarthy, he is keeping tabs on me and he has only done a quick month loan deal, he could have sent me here for three months but he has sent me for a month with a view to going back and playing in his team.
"He has signed a few defenders in the transfer window but it is not off-putting, I will speak to him as soon as I can and see where I am.
"I don't imagine I will be out of contention, I am just on the fringes and just need a good few games and for the gaffer to watch me and just say yeah, you're ready, then to put me back in the team so I can take my chance."
