Kabamba joins new club after leaving Cobblers

Striker Nicke Kabamba has joined National League side Barnet following his exit from the Cobblers.

The two parties agreed to part ways after a frustrating first season at Sixfields which yielded only six league starts and just one goal in all competitions.

Kabamba tweeted: "My time at @ntfc has come to an end, i want to thank the fans and the players who made my short time there so enjoyable. Things didn't work out but I wish nothing but the best for the club. Up the cobblers.”

The 6ft 3in forward has now joined Barnet on a permanent basis.

Bees head coach Dean Brennan said: “Nicke is a fantastic character with all the attributes to score more goals. He’s a natural finisher and good in both boxes so he should do really well.

“He’s got good presence and is a good size but he’s too selfless. I need him to be selfish and that’s how I’m gonna play him.”
