Cobblers’ FA Youth Cup tie against Hull City postponed due to snow

The Cobblers’ FA Youth Cup tie with Hull City, due to be played at Sixfields on Tuesday evening, has been postponed because of the snowy weather.

Town’s under-18s were due to face their Hull counterparts in what would have been the fourth round of the competition, the furthest stage the club has ever reached.

It will now be played at Sixfields on Wednesday January 23 with a 7pm kick-off. Admission prices are £3 adults and £1 concessions.

Several members of the team have already played first-team football this season, with Ivan Toney and David Moyo both making substitute appearances and Claudio Dias a regular on the bench.

Lewis Hornby, who has been offered professional terms by the club, is still eligible to play for the youth side, as is goalkeeper Dean Snedker, who signed a three-year full-time deal in August.

The team is coached by former Cobblers defender and captain Craig Hinton and has already beaten Chesterfield, York City and Canvey Island in this season’ FA Youth Cup.
