Northampton Town have signed left sided player Chris Arthur on a contract until January.
21 year old Arthur, who can play at left back or as a left winger, started his career with Queen’s Park Rangers but was most recently with Havant & Waterlooville.
Manager Gary Johnson said: “He was a top prospect at QPR, but he lost his way a little.
“I believe we can get his career back on track. He is a strong lad, he is quick and has the ability to play as a defender or a winger.
“He has been training with us, and he played for us in a behind closed doors game at Milton Keynes this week but I have known of him for a long time.
“He is 21 years old now, he has grown up and he is determined to make the most of this second chance we have offered him and I think we are getting him at a good age.
“Chris is a nice lad, and I am pleased to add him to the squad.”
Arthur will wear squad number 29 and is available to face Barnet on Saturday.
