Boss Page insists there will be no complacency from in-form Cobblers as Rovers come to town

Town entertain Bristol Rovers at Sixfields (ko 3pm) aiming to secure their fourth straight home win in the league, and fresh from their first away win of the season at Swindon Town on Tuesday.

The defeat at Chesterfield a fortnight ago is the team's only league loss of what has been a hugely encouraging campaign to date, and Page has made it clear there will be no letting up from his players, despite what has been a hectic schedule.

Saturday's match will be the Cobblers' fifth in the space of 15 days, and Page said: "The games have been coming thick and fast, and what has pleased me is that the Manchester United game didn't prove too much of a distraction.

"We came off after that game disappointed that we didn't get anything out of it, but then had a fantastic reaction on Saturday to win 4-0 against Southend and on Tuesday too.

"Confidence is high, but we are not going to be complacent about it, we aren't going to take things for granted.

"The reason we have had those wins is because we approached those games in the right manner, and it will be no different for Saturday."

The fitness of the players has pleased Page, and he paid tribute to his backroom staff for that being the case.

"The lads have been magnificent and fitness side of it has really pleased me," said the Cobblers manager.

"The players have lasted to the 94th and 95th minute, and that is credit to the staff, and we now need to keep it going."

Like the Cobblers, Rovers have started life in league one well following their promotion from league two in May.

They are currently 10th in the table and are only four points behind the Cobblers, and Page is anticipating a difficult afternoon.

"Every game we play is a tough game for different ways," said the Town boss.

"Bristol Rovers play in a similar way to Swindon, and I think they do both sides of the hame really well.

"I know a few of their squad, so I know they have gifted players in their team and their recruitment has been excellent.

"We know it will be a tough test, but it is all about us recreating our levels of performance."
