Town are without a number one following the release of Matt Duke and the decision to hold back on offering Shwan Jalal a new contract.

But Wilder is relaxed about the situation, and is confident he will get the right men for the job of goalkeeper and understudy.

Wilder has previously stated he may go down the route of a long-term loan for the keeper’s position, which is something the club did with success in the 2012/13 season when Lee Nicholls was brought in from Wigan Athletic

And the Cobblers boss revealed: “We have enquired to three or four clubs, a couple in the Premier League and a couple in the Championship.

“We are very confident that we will sort that out, so it’s not a situation we are panicking about really.

“I think there are a lot of good, young goalkeepers out there.”
