Cobblers boss Chris Wilder claimed a huge accolade at the Football League awards dinner on Sunday night.
Wilder was selected as the best boss from all three divisions as he was named manager of the team of the season.
The Town manager has steered his side to the Sky Bet League Two title, with 26 wins from 42 matches so far.
There was also good news for a Northampton player, as goalkeeper Adam Smith got the nod as the stopper in the Football League team of the season.
No Cobblers outfield player was named in the 11, which was made up of players from the Championship, League One and League Two.
Ricky Holmes was nominated for the League Two player of the season award, but he missed out to Oxford United’s Kemar Roofe, who is a former Cobblers loanee.
